Terms of Service

The rules of
the studio.

These terms cover what you can do with MAGZFY, what happens to the work you make here, and what we can and can't do with it. They're written to be read — plainly, and only about the parts of MAGZFY that actually exist.

Last updated 22 August 2026 Applies to magzfy.com and every tool on it

This agreement

MAGZFY is an editorial publishing platform where you can build magazines and model portfolios, keep an image library, and publish finished work for other people to read.

By creating an account or using any part of MAGZFY, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the service. Where these terms say "we" or "MAGZFY", they mean the operator of magzfy.com; where they say "you", they mean the person using the account.

Your account

You need an account to create or publish anything. Reading published work does not require one.

Signing up

  • You register with a username, an email address and a password. Usernames are unique across the platform.
  • We send a verification email when you register. Your account must be verified before you can sign in.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account, or older if the law where you live sets a higher age for agreeing to terms like these.

Keeping it secure

  • The account is yours to look after. Anything done while signed in is treated as done by you, so keep your password private.
  • Give us an email address you actually control — it's how password resets and account notices reach you.
  • We run automated protections against sign-in abuse. If a sign-in is refused unexpectedly, wait a short while and try again, or contact us.
  • Don't impersonate another person or brand with your username or profile, and don't create accounts to evade a suspension.
  • Don't probe, scan or attempt to bypass those protections, or try to sign in to an account that isn't yours.
  • If you think someone else has access to your account, tell us straight away.

What MAGZFY provides

These are the tools your account gives you access to. If something isn't listed here, we're not promising it.

Magazine Studio
Build multi-page magazines — layouts, typography, templates, layered elements, and a 3D reading view of the finished issue.
Model Portfolio
Build a portfolio from your images and publish it under your profile.
RASMEN Engine
Create image-based work on a canvas and save the result into your library.
Asset Library
Upload and organise your images. They're private to your account unless you choose to make one public.
Publishing
Turn a finished project into a public issue with its own reading page.
Discover & profiles
Published work can be browsed by others, and appears on your public creator profile.
Following
Follow other creators and be followed. Follower and following lists are visible.
Reactions, notes, collections
Signed-in readers can react to an issue, leave notes on its pages, and save issues to their collection.
No charge, no ads

MAGZFY is currently free to use. There is no billing system, no paid tier and no advertising on the platform. If that ever changes, we'll say so clearly and in advance — we won't start charging for something you already have without telling you first.

Your work stays yours

You own everything you make and upload. Your magazines, portfolios, images, layouts and text remain yours. Publishing on MAGZFY does not transfer ownership of anything to us, and we don't claim any right to sell, license or commercially exploit your work.

The permission we do need

To actually run the service, you give us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce and display your content — solely for the purpose of operating MAGZFY and showing your work to the people you've chosen to show it to. In practice that means:

  • Storing your files and project data on our servers so they're there when you come back.
  • Displaying your published work on its reading page, on your profile, and in Discover listings.
  • Showing a cover or thumbnail of a published issue where that issue is listed.

This licence exists only so the platform can function. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies that may sit in backups for a short period before being overwritten.

Keep your own copies

Please don't treat MAGZFY as the only home for work you can't afford to lose. Keep your own backups of original images and important files.

Drafts, publishing and visibility

Every project is a draft until you publish it. Drafts are private to your account.

When you publish an issue, it becomes public: anyone with the link can read it, whether or not they have an account, and it can appear in Discover and on your creator profile. Published issues can also collect views, reactions and reader notes.

Images in your Asset Library are private by default. You can mark an individual image public, which makes it visible on your profile. Images placed inside a published issue are, naturally, visible to anyone reading that issue.

You stay in control: you can unpublish a project back to draft or delete it at any time. Once unpublished or deleted, it stops being served from MAGZFY — but we can't retrieve copies other people already downloaded, screenshotted or shared elsewhere. Think about that before publishing anything sensitive.

Editors may feature selected published issues on the homepage. Being featured is an editorial choice, it's never paid for, and it doesn't change who owns the work.

Rules for what you upload

You must have the right to use it

Only upload work you created, own, or have permission to use. That includes photographs of other people: if you publish someone's likeness, make sure you're entitled to. Fonts, stock images and artwork you didn't make must be properly licensed for the way you're using them.

Content that isn't allowed

  • Anything that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights.
  • Sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualises a minor. This is an absolute line, and accounts that cross it are removed and reported.
  • Content that harasses, threatens, or incites violence or hatred against people or groups.
  • Content that is illegal where you are or where we operate.
  • Private information about someone else published without their consent.
  • Deliberately deceptive impersonation of a real person, publication or brand.
  • Malicious files, or attempts to break, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the platform or to other people's accounts.

Notes, reactions and conduct

Signed-in readers can react to a published issue and leave notes on its pages. Notes are public, attached to the issue, and shown alongside the author's name.

  • Write notes you'd be comfortable having attached to your own name — criticism is welcome, abuse isn't.
  • You can delete notes you wrote.
  • Notes that break the content rules above can be removed by moderators.
  • Don't use notes for spam, advertising, or links to unrelated or harmful sites.

Following someone is a public action: your follower and following lists can be seen by others.

Moderation and enforcement

MAGZFY has administrators who can review published work and reader notes. Where content breaks these terms, we may:

  • Remove a note.
  • Return a published issue to draft, so it's no longer publicly readable.
  • Suspend or close an account.

We aim to be proportionate: for a first, minor problem we'd rather ask you to fix it than remove anything. Serious cases — particularly anything involving harm to children, or illegal content — are acted on immediately and without warning.

If you think a moderation decision was wrong, contact us and we'll look at it again.

Availability and changes

MAGZFY is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and to keep your work safe, but we don't promise uninterrupted availability: there will be maintenance, deployments and occasional faults.

We may add, change or retire features as the platform develops. If a change would remove something you rely on or affect work you've already published, we'll give reasonable notice where we can.

Ending your account

You can stop using MAGZFY whenever you like. You can delete individual projects and images from your dashboard and library at any time; to close your account entirely, get in touch from the email address the account is registered to, and we'll take care of it. We won't act on a closure request we can't tie to the account holder.

When an account is closed, its projects and uploaded files are removed from the service. Copies may remain in backups for a limited period before being overwritten, and anything you published that others already saved or shared is outside our control.

We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, as described in section 08.

Liability

MAGZFY is offered without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We're not responsible for content that other users publish, and we don't endorse it by hosting it.

To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses — including lost profits, lost opportunities, or loss of data where you had no backup of your own. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for death, personal injury, or fraud.

You're responsible for the content you publish. If a claim is brought against us because of something you uploaded in breach of these terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of dealing with it.

Changes to these terms

These terms will change as MAGZFY grows. When they do, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For changes that meaningfully affect your rights or the work you've published, we'll also notify account holders by email.

Continuing to use MAGZFY after a change means you accept the updated terms. If you don't, you're free to close your account.

Now go make something

That's everything.

Read the terms, keep your own backups, publish work you're proud of, and treat other creators the way you'd want your own work treated. Questions about any of this, or a report to make? The contact page reaches us.
